Giving Back

James 1:17 “Every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Everything we have comes from God. We only give back to Him a very small portion of what belongs to Him. He does not have measure how ig you can give; He is more concerned with the attitude of your heart and your expression of joyful giving. That is what makes His blessings overflow.

God instructed in the Old Testament to offer one tenth as tithe “Thou shall truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year: Deuteronomy 14:22  The New Testament talks about tithing; ” fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I posses.” (Luke 18:12)

God is glorified when we give back the first portion of our income; it is an act of our obedience to Him. “Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.: (1 Corinthians 16;2(NIV)

“Oh God, thank you for raising a faithful giver to Ignite Community Church, thank you for using as to the a channel of blessings to the Community, you are indeed our Jehovah-Jireh, our provider and the Heir of all things. (Genesis  22:13-14) (Hebrews 1:2), for  this is our prayer in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen!
